Frank Reese & Gay Baker

Who now carries the most concentrated Gay Baker blood? I have a female who's dam shows Baker 5 times in a 5 gen pedigree. She had to be spade on her last litter due to complications. I have have several females and a male out of her that I would like to find some strong Gay blood to add to the the pedigrees to go with the Round Pond T breeding.

I think I may have some of the purest baker lines my dogs have been linebred for nearly 30 years down from gay flag a son of baker when you go back you will see baker all the way down the pedigree on both sides.

I have a couple of Gay bred dogs and I am always interested in good linebred dogs. If you have any pedigrees brushyfork I would love to see them, also do you ever have any dogs or pups for sale ?

I do have some peds. My dogs came from 4 females that a friend of mine had he took them to Mr. Reeses and bred them to Gay flag and he linebred these dogs for about 30 years with no out crosses, they have been bred for excellent hunt and they also have near perfect conformation.

I would assume you live down South somewhere since your partner took his beagles to Mr. Reeses! The one thing we've noticed with this strain of hounds is their uncanny knack of getting faster it seems as the rabbit runs. Also the dogs appear to get stronger as the day progresses or it may be the other dogs are getting tired and are slowing down. I feel it is the later scenario, I think this line of dogs is overlooked in some of the trial formats since speed appears to be the most important factor."Been there done that"

yes I live in S.C. my dogs are not slow as some people seem to think these dogs are we have really good conformation and this helps them move easier and helps with their speed. Problem with many dogs is that their conformation is so bad they just can't keep up. We are trying to breed top notch gun dogs that can run all day, day after day

Most of my blood goes back to Demon ( Flags brother ) I would love to check out a couple of your pedigrees if you don't mind. I am always looking for some different Gay blood to cross on mine and I am always looking for a well bred pup or two.

The dogs i am familiar that have gay demon a couple times or more in there pedigree seem to handle well and hunt with you.I like em alot!

I have bitch whose mother has Gay Baker 5x in her 5 gen pedigree. There is also some Black Fork dogs and some  Lusk's breeding. Have you ever heard of these lines of dogs and if so where did they originate from? Everything we have that has the Gay breeding is Chop mouth. They are honest and do no cold trailing, if anything some of them can be a bit tight with their mouth until the rabbit is up and running hot. Confirmation is above average on all of the dogs in this line. Some even have show wins in other hunting formats.

What type of rabbit do you Beaglers with heavy Gay bred hounds hunt ??? swamp,cottontail or hare? And how do these hounds do when the rabbit takes to water(crosses a creek-etc)Do the seem to mind the water,is there much hestation?  and no i have never heard of Black Fork or Lusk's other might have.
