Right now my fav rabbit gun is an old HnR Stevens 16 gauge single shot handed down from my dad. It is a little beat up due to its days int he field when my dad use to rabbit hunt with, no bells and whistles just a shooter.

I have a Tristar side by side 12 ga.  I really like it. It's light and real easy to shoulder.  I don't "blow" the rabbits up either. Over the years I've learned how to shoot them up front.

I bought my son a charles daly 20 guage pump youth gun for his bithday last year. It is very small and light weight. Not very expensive by the way. Its the best gun ive ever rabbit hunted with. Only downfall is the 20 inch barrel. But good ammo and it will still do the trick. Happy Hunting

i have a Newport single shot 20ga. that iv`e carried since i was a kid. ive had many shotguns over the years but i love this old gun & its all i carry. always been a fan of single shots.
wish i would have kept a journal on all the game iv`e killed with it. i know iv`e carried it a bunch of miles & had a lot of fun & made some great memories with it.

I use an over/under 12 ga. Double Barrel. One barrel is modified and the other is full choke. It weighs too much and kicks too hard and I could get a better gun, but I am a creature of habit and I don't like change, it wouldn’t feel right hunting without it.

Sometimes the old stuff is just fine. Like those old bloods you have in your kennel. Which I hope to find a way to get a couple of pups directly out of someday. I have a young female with hill,s shakerag mcrae as grandfather and i think thats the way I want to go. But back to the subject, I usually carry a 12 guage auto but i really like carrying my sons youth model charles daly 20 guage pump.

I still like to use my old Harrington and Richardson single shot 20 ga. It was the first shotgun my Dad ever gave me. With only one shot to throw at them though, I leave alot of them in the woods for breeding.lol!

Been using a Charles Daly field hunter semi auto, 20guage with a 26'' barrel this year. Haven't had a lot of shots in the thick stuff we have been hunting. I have gotten every one that I shot at. I had a hard time with the hard trigger pull along with the short barrel. A fibre optic front sight that I added has helped me with the short barrel. I am starting to really like this gun.

A friend of mine got the youth model Charles Daly pump. It appears to be better made than the semi auto that I have. If I had it to do over I would get the pump.
